and commercial clients using our

Building Surveyors and Structural Engineers who have
wide ranging experience in Party Wall matters
Statutory Legislation;
The introduction of the Party Wall Act 1996 extended
legislation, previously confined to the Inner London
Boroughs, to cover all areas. All Building Owners
proposing to undertake works to a Party Wall or carry
out excavations in close proximity to an adjacent
property are now required to serve notice on the
owner of the adjoining property.
The Surveyors Role;
The role of the Party Wall Surveyor is to ensure compliance
with the provisions of the Act, whether appointed
by the Building Owners or the Adjoining Owners. Our
experienced Surveyors and Engineers are able to act
for either party and have expert knowledge of all
matters
arising
under the Act. We offer a pro-active approach to
ensure that wherever possible this legislation does
not delay contracts. We also have the major benefit
of being able to draw upon the experience of our
in-house Chartered Structural Engineers to fully
appraise technical issues.
